Makes: 18 small 1' square shower tablets

Dry Ingredients

Wet Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. water and a spray bottle
  • Essential oils:
    • Lavender, geranium, and/or bergamot for soothing and relaxing
    • Rosemary, peppermint, and/or eucalyptus for uplifting and awakening

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine dry ingredients, and mix well with a wire whisk.
  2. Add one Tbsp. water while mixing, then add the second Tbsp. of water. The mixture will fizz a bit with the addition of water, use a spray bottle for any additional water if needed.
  3. If you are adding dried botanicals, now is the time to mix them in. If you are looking to add color, separate the batch into however many colors you want, then add 1/2 tsp. mica, per 1/2 cup of mixture.
  4. Pack the mixture tightly into a soap mold/silicone mold. Put aside and let air dry for a few hours.
  5. Add 15 drops of essential oil to each tablet, before entering shower.

Notes

  • The mixture should resemble pastry dough. You should be able to squeeze it into a ball in your hand. Use the spray bottle with water to add a few sprays if still needed to achieve this consistency.
  • You want to make sure the tablets are firm so they do not crumble when you take them out of the molds.
